Formula 1 League Rules

We race on Equal cars. Races are 50% and they are on a Tuesday 8pm UK Time and Wednesday 8pm UK Time.

Important- NO DIRT TACTICS IN THE RACE IF SEEN DOING A DIRT TACTIC YOU WILL BE GIVEN A PENALTY OR MAYBE WORST.

Important- If you cannot attend a race for whatever reason, that is not a problem, but we do ask that you give us prior warning before the race. If you cannot attend a race, please message one of the Admins know BEFORE the race. If you miss three races in a season without prior warning or reasonable explanation afterwards, you will lose your seat in the league.
Important- We do ask that everyone records their race, so that in the event of an accident or collision, the Stewards can investigate and act accordingly. However, if there is no video, absolutely no action will be taken, under any circumstances. There must be clear evidence to penalise anybody. If you're not sure how to record your race, please ask someone in the league will asset you. If when stewards ask for your POV of an accident and you dont supply footage you will receive a reprimand and the incident will be reviewed the best way possible without your footage.

Qualifying-

You must complete at least one full qualifying lap. This means you must complete an out lap, a flying lap and an in lap. If you are serving a back of the grid penalty, you must retire straight away at the start of qualifying. Please do your best to avoid cars on their fast laps and stay away from the racing line where possible when you are not doing a lap.

Lobby Glitches-

If any sort of race ending glitch happens within the first 25% of the race, we will restart the session with custom grid of the qualifying order or if the lobby has completed more then 2 laps without the SC then the session crashes, then when we restart in the order of the standings from that point. The weather will be set to the same as the previous lobby. If any glitch happens again, the race will most likely be postponed and Admins will discuss the outcome. If a race ending glitch occurs after 25%, the race will also be postponed.

Lobby Restarts-

No lobby Restarts unless 50% of the Gird get lagged out or there was a Huge glitch in the game what caused players to retire. Then after these events Admins will decide to Restart or not to.

Penalties-

This is just some ways penalties can be given out and the penalty times arent set in stone. Please remember this.

The Admin can apply the following penalties:

  • Reprimand
  • Time penalties
  • Disqualification
  • Qualifying ban
  • Race ban
  • Removal from the league

 - Reprimands are given for incidents that are deemed reckless, but are not quite bad enough for a time penalty for disqualification. If a driver accumulates 3 reprimands, he will receive a qualifying ban.

Penalties may be reconsidered if the place is handed back after a collision.

 - There is only one way for stewards to apply a race ban. The stewards deem an incident to be so bad, that it deserves a race ban. This, however, is rare. Or overtime getting a lot of penalties for the same thing.

Incident submission-

If you wish to submit an incident to the stewards for review, please make sure it is done on YouTube or Twitter. All submissions must be sent in by 13:00 pm Uk time the day after the race, or they will not be looked at. Submitting clips must be clear preferably a youtube clip or twitter. If the stewards deem them as unclear they will not review them but will tell you to make a more clear clip.

Points and Classification-

At the conclusion of each Grand Prix, the top ten finishers will score points towards both the drivers' and constructors' world championships, according to the following scale:

1st : 25 points
2nd : 18 points
3rd : 15 points
4th : 12 points
5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points
7th : 6 points
8th : 4 points
9th : 2 points
10th : 1 point

And as of F1 2019 there is a point for fastest lap in the race anyone can earn this point 20th or 1st.

Retiring-

Please do your very best to finish every race. We understand that accidents happen and that sometimes you are very far behind, however, please do continue as there is always a chance of a safety car. However, if you really do have to retire for whatever reason, to reduce the chance of bringing out a safety car, please can you drive into the pits and retire your car there. If you retire close to the end of the you many have a chance of getting some points, if you retire but you have completed more then 90% of the race distance you will be classified in the race results. Also say you retire on the last lap but also have lapped a car then you will finish in front of the cars you have lapped.

Corner Cutting-

This league uses strict corner cutting rules. If you are unfairly given a penalty by the game, please send the Admins video footage and we will review and possibly take away your in-game penalty. If you want a 3 second time penalty taken off, we need to see proof of the amount of warnings you had in the race. If you have an unfair penalty during the race, please go to the race director at the end and take a screenshot of your warnings and send to the Admin. If we can clearly tell that one less warning would've resulted in the time penalty not occurring, we may remove the penalty. Please note, we will not remove ANY 3 second time penalties under ANY circumstances without a screenshot of your race director warnings.

Formation Lap-

Under the Formation Lap Drivers are permitted to sit at a normal speed DO NOT slow down to get an advantage on other drivers by letting them lose tyre temps. Also every driver must stay in position as well dont just drive to the front. Penalties will be given out if seeing going against these rules. This rule is rarely used but will be used if the stewards deem necessary.

Virtual Safety Car-

Drivers must not drive unnecessarily slowly, erratically or in a manner that could be deemed potentially dangerous to other competitors. Drivers are free to pit. Drivers are also not permitted to overtake, except if another driver in front enters the pit lane or slows with an obvious problem.

Currently under the VSC in the F1 2020 a driver can go into the red on his delta without getting a penalty. We as a league have BANNED this and if any driver is seen doing this they will get a 20 second penalty plus a reprimand. This glitch many not work now after Patch 1.05.

Safety Car-

The safety car will join the circuit with its orange lights on, and all drivers must form a queue behind it. Overtaking is not permitted, although the safety car will signal backmarkers to pass it using its green light until the race leader is immediately behind it. Penalties will be given out if you overtake under the SC.

Currently in F1 2020 there is a glitch were drivers get told to overtake the driver in front. If any driver gets this glitch dont overtake just wait and the message will stop and go back to normal.

If you are awarded a time penalty then serve or dont serve the penalty under the SC the penalty cant get the removed because that's unfair on the other drivers. But if you receive the penalty and serve or dont serve with no SCs coming out after the Pen has been awarded, you can get the penalty removed if the stewards deem it unfair.

Under SC restart, the leader is not permitted to resume the race while the message on screen still states "safety car coming in, maintain speed". By going when the message still says this, you risk hitting the limiter close to the finish line and causing collisions. Drivers must wait until the message changes to "prepare to resume racing", but can wait as long as they want before going

Blue Flags-

Warns a driver that he is about to be lapped and to let the faster car overtake. Pass three blue flags without complying and the driver risks being penalised. If you are blue flagged, please let the car behind through as quickly as possible. You may receive a penalty to the end of your race time if you impede any blue flag rules.

Jump Starts/Lag Start-

Jump/lag starts happen when you leave and re-join during qualifying. Sometimes you will get a jump on other drivers and you will be able to make up significant grid positions before other drivers have started moving. On other occasions, you will 'bog' down and all the other drivers will go before you. If you get a jump start, please do not disappear down the field. Please respect your fellow drivers and wait at least half a second so that you can remain in a similar grid position to where you started.

Dirty Race Tactics-

Dirty Race Tactics are Banned from this league they will result in reprimands and sometimes penalties. Dirty Tactics like slowing down the driver behind under VSC/SC so you dont get held under the pit stop, slowing down to get DRS... Stewards will decided what is and is not dirty.

Reprimands-

A reprimand system is in place in this league. If you receive three reprimands during the course of the season, you will receive a Qualifying Ban for the following round. Then when that is served your reprimands will be reset to zero.

In an Incident-

If you have spun off the track or have made contact with another driver you cant just reset your car to track because this is super unrealistic if drivers are seen doing this they will receive a reprimand and a 20 second time penalty. This rule has been put in place to make this league more realistic.

Reserve Driver Rules-

Reserve Drivers will earn points in the Driver Standings normally like another driver. Reserve Drivers will also not be able to earn points for any team in the Constructor Standings they will have there own team on the Constructor Standings.

Read the F1 Rules above.
